By accessing this kindred medicine site ("school" thereafter), you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this School are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
2. Use License
- Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of any downloadable materials on the School’s website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
- modify or copy the materials;

kindred medicine/shena young are not liable for injuries that are physical, emotional, or otherwise, that may arise from practicing trauma-informed practices or any course outcomes. by participating in the programs available on this site you are agreeing to the aforementioned and the waiver below.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in hereinafter called trauma-informed care, I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives or assigns, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue kindred medicine, Shena Young, and online training facilitators from liability from any and all claims including the negligence of kindred medicine, Shena Young, and online training facilitators, resulting in personal injury, accidents or illnesses, and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in trauma-informed care and related practices.
I have read the previous paragraphs and I know, understand, and appreciate these and other risks that are inherent in trauma-informed care. I hereby assert that my participation is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all such risks.
Indemnification and Hold Harmless: I also agree to INDEMNIFY AND HOLD kindred medicine, Shena Young, and online training facilitators/affiliates HARMLESS from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney’s fees brought as a result of my involvement in trauma informed care and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred.
Severability: The undersigned further expressly agrees that the foregoing waiver and assumption of risks agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of California and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
Acknowledgment of Understanding: I have read this waiver of liability, assumption of risk, and indemnity agreement, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am signing the agreement freely and voluntarily, and intend by my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
