the wounded healers. the ones finding their way.
those who are fervently pursuing their destinies.
the ones who came here to heal. those who came to hold.
it is a beautiful space to stand in. here's the thing though, simply calling yourself a healer is not enough. calling yourself a healer comes with a sacred responsibility. to know your wounds, to be in relationship with them, to see all the ways they are in relationship with others. it requires hypervigilance, accountability, intentions to do no harm --- and a knowing that in all our intersections, in all the pain that lives within us & our bodies, that in all our intersections as black, indigenous, people of color holding space for our beloveds we just might cause harm.
we have work to do within our(selves). work to do in community.
all this healing is our business.
thank you for being here to unlearn + expand. this is at the core of what this space is for -- shifting the culture of how we hold space & facilitate healing for our beloveds. we believe in a world where trauma informed + integrated care is the standard.
you're invited to explore and choose what's right & resonant. and if it lands well with you, to share the opportunity with other BIPOC healers you trust.
may healing come soon...
peace kindred,
I'm dr shena. one of your guides. one of your students. a fellow healer & survivor. I'm a licensed body-inclusive & holistic psychologist, trauma informed care educator/teacher, and energy healer.
I'm so excited about all the work we will do together and in our communities. I have a few recommendations as you familiarize yourself with the offerings here. beginning with the trauma informed care course is a good look & strong foundation. we will continue expanding this with time. and keep an eye out for opportunities to deepen + integrate in multidisciplinary consultation gatherings with other BIPOC healers.
and of course, I want to hear from you. if there is something you are wanting to see here & a teacher/healer/elder you think we should be connected with, send us a love note.
with love.
