created with love, for BIPOC healers. this course explores trauma, its holistic impact, and shares how we as a community can confidently hold more trauma informed spaces.
to ground your healing practice in trauma informed care is to acknowledge that most people you are working with have directly/indirectly had at least one traumatic experience that they bring with them into the healing spaces; that they house them in their bodies, that they are vulnerable — and that we owe it to them to do our work so we minimize causing further harm.
upon completion of this course BIPOC healers will:
- understand the holistic impact of trauma on the body, mind, spirit, and community
- be able to identify potential and active triggers while minimizing client re-traumatizationÂ
- know how to thoughtfully integrate trauma informed principles into healing practices from first client contact to rendering of service
- identify self-care practices and boundary setting strategies that help healers avoid burnout and inform a sustainable practice
- And so much more...
- healing-practitioners will receive a digital workbook, certificate upon completion, and affirmed logo to add to websites/social media sites
